Job Summary:
This inpatient pharmacist position is based in Ogden, Utah. The role involves working in a busy pharmacy unit operating on a 7-day on, 7-day off schedule, with shifts during the evenings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Ogden, Utah
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, operating on a 7 ON 7 OFF schedule
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required; no minimum years of experience required
- Experience: Technician management, experience with Pyxis medication management system, CIISafe medication system, and VigiLanz clinical surveillance software; working independently with a technician for approximately 5.5 hours of each shift
- Certifications: BLS/ALS preferred but not mandatory
- Additional Information: Pharmacy operates 24 hours with five staff pharmacists throughout the day, providing diverse clinical activities including medication consults, drug information, and intervention management via VigiLanz. The department emphasizes a customer-first approach, supporting nursing and medical staff to enhance patient care. The team features experienced pharmacists and technicians with ten or more years of tenure, along with advanced equipment and technology including Meditech, DoseEdge, RXMS, BD Pyxis, and VigiLanz.
