Job Summary
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) — The organization is seeking a qualified inpatient pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication management, drug dispensing, and clinical consultation services within a hospital setting. This role involves ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug therapies, interpreting medical records, and supervising pharmacy support personnel. The position is scheduled for dayshift coverage over a multi-month assignment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 4 Days, 10 Hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharmacy) degree, Texas state pharmacy license, and current BLS or ACLS certification. Epic experience highly preferred, with skills in pharmacokinetic dosing, neonatal medication knowledge, and emergency medicine. No minimum experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hospital pharmacy experience, Epic electronic health record system familiarity.
- Additional Information: Pharmacists will prepare and dispense drug orders, monitor patient drug therapies, interpret medical records, and ensure compliance with institutional and legal policies. Responsibilities include providing clinical consultations, managing pharmacokinetic services, participating in quality improvement activities, and supervising pharmacy technicians. The position may involve participation in interdisciplinary rounds and stewardship programs.
