Job Summary
Perfusionist – PROfession – Location: The position involves supporting cardiac, thoracic, and liver transplant procedures, including ECMO operations, in a healthcare facility setting. The role requires operating Point of Care (POC) devices and managing a variety of complex cases such as CABG, valve repair, adult congenital surgeries, dissections, and minimally invasive procedures. The position starts on October 26, 2026, and runs through April 24, 2027, with a schedule of 8-hour days, Monday through Friday.
Job Details
- Position Description: The role involves covering cardiac cases, lung transplants on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and possibly ECMO coverage during day, evening, and weekend shifts. The team supports cardiac, thoracic, and liver transplants, ECMO responses, TAVRs, LLE in Clinical/Laboratory procedures, mechanical thrombectomies, and HIPEC cases.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or college degree, ABCP – American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certification, Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License, a minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 1 recent year in a Level 1 Trauma facility, operating Point of Care devices, and recent experience in a similar setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
- Schedule: 8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to operate POC devices, cover any type of case regardless of complexity, and respond to emergency situations including ECMO cannulations and decannulations. IVS to interview and manager to extend offers.
