Job Summary:
Anatomic Pathology Pathology Assistant position available in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves working in one of three gross room locations: Main Ruby, Children's, or Innovation Corp (opening 07/27). The successful candidate will perform tissue grossing tasks and must bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
- Schedule: Dayshift with start times between 07:30 and 08:00, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, and a shift duration of 8 hours
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); current BLS (AHA) certification; at least 1 year of experience in anatomic pathology gross room setting; experience with Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP); experience with voice recognition programs
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an academic medical center
- Additional Information: This position may be located at one of three gross room sites; training will be provided by current Pathologists' Assistants; ability to gross simple and complex tissue specimens is required
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ASCP Certification as Pathologists' Assistant
- Notes: No weekend, holiday, call, or standby commitments required; hospital scrubs are provided; training provided by current PAs
