Surgical Technician, Operating Room (OR) — St. Louis, Missouri. This position supports surgical procedures by preparing supplies and instrumentation, assisting with patient care, and managing the disposition or decontamination of surgical materials. Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- High school education and some college.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Previous healthcare experience.
- Ability to scrub neurological cases.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment, navigate multiple computer systems, solve problems effectively, and provide quality care in an operating room setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Additional Information:
- Coordinates supplies and instrumentation required for surgical procedures according to established policies and procedures.
- Assists with patient care planning, interventions, and outcomes.
- Performs disposition and decontamination of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Call coverage is required as needed.
- Black scrubs are required.
- Influenza vaccination is required for travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions require approval from the facility.
