Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech will support surgical procedures in an acute-care setting, including inpatient and outpatient cases across general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, plastics, and other specialties. The role requires strong scrubbing skills, participation in call coverage, and collaboration across operating room services.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active Washington State license and registration; graduation from an accredited school; a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiovascular operating room and main operating room procedures, including general surgery, bowel resection, robotic surgery, gynecology, urology, transurethral resection, cystoscopy, lithotripsy, bariatrics, and plastics.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Scrubbing is required. The role supports a Level III trauma setting with inpatient and outpatient procedures, add-on cases, and varied operating room start times. Call coverage may include 5–6 call days, with a 30-minute response time. Weekend and holiday call participation is covered by rotation. Electronic medical record documentation is completed in EPIC. Orientation includes one week of floor-specific training.
