Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician — Operating Room — Portland, Maine. The position supports surgical services in a Level 1 trauma setting, with cranial experience required. The role requires participation in scheduled call coverage and strong procedural experience, including neurosurgical and ENT cases.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- At least 3 years of experience
- At least 1 year of travel experience
- Cranial and neurosurgical experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Strong ear, nose, and throat procedural background
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with general surgery, genitourinary and gynecologic procedures, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic joint procedures, ear, nose, and throat procedures, pediatrics, plastics, dental procedures, or endovascular procedures
- Single-port robotic surgery experience
- Additional Information:
- Call coverage of 90–110 hours per 8-week time block is required.
- Weekday call is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend call is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- The operating room includes a 1:1 patient ratio.
