Job Summary
Surgical Technician, Operating Room Specialty — Day-shift assignment supporting surgical procedures across general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurological, and trauma services. The role requires strong operating room proficiency, the ability to precept, participation in call rotation, and current Certified Surgical Technologist experience.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed, with call participation by rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Five years of current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience; proficiency in general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic procedures including total joints, neurological head and spine, and trauma; ability to precept; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification; personal vehicle; and two recent signed supervisory references.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cesarean sections, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) procedures, plastics, and da Vinci robotic surgery; proficiency with Meditech Expanse.
- Additional Information:
- Must be willing to take call.
- Block scheduling is not available.
- All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.
- Current work history, relevant skills checklist, and uploaded licenses and certifications are required.
- Must be able to provide scrub support for applicable procedures.
