Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician – Day-shift position supporting surgical procedures across general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurological, and trauma specialties. The role requires proficiency in core operating room procedures, participation in call rotation and holiday coverage when needed, and the ability to precept others.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Call rotation and every other weekend coverage are required, with holiday coverage when needed.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of current surgical technologist experience; experience in general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic procedures including total joints, neurological head and spine, and trauma; National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); ability to precept; two recent signed supervisory references from within the past two years of employment; current skills checklist; uploaded licenses and certifications; own vehicle required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cesarean sections, ear, nose, and throat procedures, plastic surgery, and the da Vinci Robot; Meditech Expanse experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position includes call participation, holiday coverage, and facility-provided scrubs. Block scheduling is not available. Required procedures include general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurological head and spine, and trauma cases.
