Job Summary
Surgical Technician, Operating Room Tech will support surgical procedures in an operating room setting during day shifts. The position requires current experience across general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurological, and trauma procedures, along with the ability to precept other team members. Call rotation and holiday coverage may be required.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); 5 years of current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience; proficiency in general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic procedures including total joints, neurological head and spine, and trauma procedures; ability to precept.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cesarean sections, ear, nose, and throat procedures, plastic surgery, and robotic surgery; Meditech Expanse experience.
- Additional Information: Call rotation is required. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Holiday scheduling includes coverage during designated Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holiday periods when scheduled or needed. Facility-provided scrubs are available. Block scheduling is not available.
