Job Summary
Surgical Technician, Operating Room Specialty. This position supports surgical procedures by preparing sterile fields, equipment, supplies, and solutions while maintaining the sterile environment throughout each case. The role provides support across orthopedic, general, spine, vascular, urology, and obstetric and gynecologic procedures.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; completion of an accredited surgical technology program; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through successful completion of the national examination; at least 3 years of surgical technology experience.
- Schedule: Day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a rotating weekday off; 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing the operating room and sterile field, setting up surgical equipment and supplies, passing instruments and fluids during procedures, managing specimens, maintaining the sterile field, and performing sponge and supply counts. Experience with robotic surgical systems is required. Scrubs are provided.
