Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician — ORT. The Surgical Technician supports orthopedic, total joint, and general surgery procedures in a rotating-shift operating room environment. The role requires proficiency with Mako and/or Rosa robotics, with DaVinci robotics experience strongly preferred.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certificate; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; a minimum of 36 months of current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)/Surgical Technician experience; proficient orthopedic experience, including total joint procedures; general surgery experience; proficient experience with Mako and/or Rosa robotics; no first-time travelers.
- Preferred Qualifications: DaVinci robotics experience; professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge professional, supervisor, nurse manager, director, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), or Chief Operating Officer (COO) within the past 24 months.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with 10-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call coverage includes one night per week and up to one weekend per month.
- Additional Information: Orientation dates are 11/23/2026 and 11/30/2026. Block scheduling requests are not accommodated. The position supports a 14-bed unit equipped with DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa robotics.
