Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician in the Specialty of Sterile Processing at a healthcare facility located in Rogers, AR. This position involves decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, disinfecting, and sterilizing instrumentation and equipment according to manufacturer instructions. The role supports the organization’s surgical and clinical operations ensuring the availability of sterile instruments and equipment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification, CRCST or CSPDT certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD, 5+ years of experience in sterile processing.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Decontaminate, inspect, function test, assemble, disinfect, and sterilize instrumentation and equipment following manufacturer instructions; prepare instrumentation for use; operate sterilizers correctly; maintain accurate documentation and logs.
- Additional Information: Knowledge of surgical instruments, specialty instruments, and sterilization processes is required. Candidate must be familiar with sterile processing computer applications, and ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are maintained in good condition.
