Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Grand Junction, Colorado. Candidates are responsible for assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing surgical and procedural trays and equipment. The role involves operating sterilization equipment, disassembling carts, following Universal Precautions, maintaining records, and ensuring timely delivery of sterilized instruments to the Operating Room. Applicants are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, Saturday from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM. On-call, PRN, and holiday coverage may be required; multiple shifts will vary from Monday through Friday from 03:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
- Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; CRCST certification through HSPA or CBSPD; 0+ years of experience, with previous hospital or clinic operating room experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior hospital or clinic operating room experience.
- Additional Information: The role requires experience in instrument sterilization, case assembly, and medical equipment disinfection, with proficiency in record keeping and computer use. The position may require overtime, floating to other departments within scope of competency, and being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
