Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves assembling, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing surgical instruments and medical equipment in a healthcare environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, following proper sterilization and decontamination procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Variable available 8-hour evenings; options include Tuesday through Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; Sunday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; or Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One or more years of experience preferred—specifically in hospital or clinical operating room environments. Certification: CRCST through HSPA or CBSPD.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in hospital or clinic operating rooms.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Weekend work is required; on-call duties may be scheduled monthly, with assistance needed during holidays or special calls. The role involves operating sterilization equipment, instrument tracking, record keeping, decontamination procedures, and emergency response activities. The candidate must be able to use computers and learn relevant software.
