Job Summary
The location of the healthcare facility is seeking an Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care within the cardiovascular operating room setting. This role involves delivering direct nursing care, implementing patient care plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts for patients undergoing open-heart procedures. The position requires critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Days
- Shift Hours: 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license/certification, professional profile verification, two professional references, and successful completion of Ascension skills checklist/test; 2 years of experience in the specialty of Operating Room Open Heart.
- Additional Information: Must have experience with open-heart procedures and hold NBSTSA Certification.
- Responsibilities: Implement and monitor patient care plans, assess and coordinate discharge planning, serve as the primary coordinator of multidisciplinary patient care, and adhere to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment. The role involves working closely with the healthcare team in a CVOR-CST unit.
