Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (CVOR) Surgical Technologist position located in Jacksonville, FL. Job Details

  • Position Description: MSP: University of Florida Health Corporation Facility; Location: 655 W. 8th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32209; Position Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist; Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks; Contract Dates: 10/05/2026 - 01/02/2027.
  • Shift: 8 hours days (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM); Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.0; Schedule: Days.
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program; BLS (AHA or American Red Cross); NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST certification (required within one year of hire/transfer); Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including CVOR experience; Recent heart experience; EPIC EMR experience; 50-mile radius rule applies; Previous travel experience required; Academic/Teaching Facility experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong cardiac experience highly preferred; Peripheral vascular experience preferred; Vascular and Neuro experience a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: Call required, including Thursdays; Response time: 45 minutes; Work history gaps greater than 30 days must be explained; No RTO permitted during the first two weeks; Maximum of eight (8) RTO days during the contract; Medical exemption requests accepted for influenza vaccination, with exemption form required; Facility-issued scrubs provided; RTO policy compliance necessary; Florida AHCA clearance may take up to 14 business days; Completion of manager interview and submission of at least one recent professional reference are required.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
