- Shift Time: Days
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Position Description: This position involves selecting and placing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery. Responsibilities include scrubbing in on a minimum of two surgical specialties, assisting with complex cardiac procedures, and participating in OR turnover and equipment management. The role also includes training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned, and providing support for clinical and operational tasks.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma/GED; current basic life support certification; certification as a surgical technologist; 0 years of experience in a surgical technologist role; ability to scrub proficiently on at least two surgical specialties; manual dexterity; able to respond quickly to emergent needs; organized and professional demeanor.
- Additional Information: The role includes participation in emergency call rotation and adherence to safety procedures related to infection control, specimen handling, and surgical safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
