Job Summary:
Located in Billings, Montana, this Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Surgical Technologist position involves performing scrub duties and maintaining sterile supplies and techniques within a surgical environment. Responsibilities include assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients, assembling and organizing case carts according to surgeon preferences, providing instrumentation and supplies, and ensuring a sterile environment. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Shift: Rotating shifts, with schedule Notes: x3 12-hour shifts, variable for CVOR Tech, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. - High school diploma or GED. - Graduation from a formal, accredited surgical technologist program. - Two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience. - One (1) year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) scrubbing experience. - Must have at least one (1) year of CV experience as a Surgical Technologist. - Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
- Preferred Qualifications: - One (1) year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital setting.
- Additional Information: - May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs. - May be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. - Candidates are expected to perform sterile procedures, handle specimens and contaminated materials, and maintain equipment and supplies efficiently.
