Job Summary:
This Operating Room (OR) Open Heart (OH) position is located in Aurora, Colorado. The role involves supporting the cardiovascular surgery team in a busy hospital environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position emphasizes open heart experience and a team-oriented mindset.
Job Details:
- Location: Aurora, CO
- Position Type: Travel
- Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, minimum 40 hours per week
- Unit Information: OR Heart Team with 3 beds, supporting 3 campuses, with a staff of 15. The team comprises 2 registered nurses (RN) and 1 cardiovascular operating room technician (CVOR Tech) during day shifts, and 1 RN and 1 CVOR Tech during night shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), DORA (Drug and Alcohol Recognition and Assessment), and NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting). Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience, open heart experience proficiency, and Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities and cardiovascular procedure experience such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and valve replacements are advantageous.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to float within 25 miles of the facility when needed. Call is required and will be discussed at the interview. No weekend shifts are scheduled.
