- Required Qualifications: EVH (Endovenous Laser Ablation) certification through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), NSAA (National Surgical Assistant Association), or ABSA (American Board of Surgery Assisting); BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools); 3 years of cardiovascular (CV) experience; valid license to practice.
- Schedule: 10-hour days with call coverage from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, with call coverage from the end of the shift through 7:00 a.m. the following morning; weekday call coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. the next day on weekends and holidays.
- Additional Information: The position requires flexible coverage to support surgical procedures, including positioning and prepping patients, instrument handling, controlling bleeding, and closing surgical sites. The First Assist will also support post-operative patient care and may assume the surgical tech role as needed throughout the week.
