Job Summary:
A Surgical Technologist First Assistant position is available in Brooksville, Florida. The role involves providing direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures, including patient positioning and prepping, instrument handling, bleeding control, and wound closure. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This assignment is non-remote and requires travel.
Job Details:
- Location: Brooksville, Florida
- Schedule: Days, 10 hours per day with call, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with weekday call coverage from the end of the scheduled shift through 7:00 a.m. the following morning; weekend and holiday call coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association), CFSA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) (CAAHEP) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) (ABHES) or NBSTSA, along with a minimum of 3 years of cardiovascular (CV) experience. Candidates must have Vein Harvesting experience.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: No local candidates; 60 miles radius rule applies. The role requires first assist experience in the operating room, with responsibilities including surgical patient positioning, instrument handling, bleeding control, and wound closure.
