Job Summary
Operating Room First Assist (Open Heart) – MountainView Hospital. This role involves providing specialized surgical assistance in a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit, supporting open-heart procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and TAVR. The position requires independence in vein procurement and competence with the Maquet Hemopro 2 system.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operating Room First Assistance for open-heart surgery, with at least 1 year in a CVOR setting
- Location: MountainView Hospital, Floor 2, 3100 N. Tenaya Way
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026 and ending 12/14/2026
- Responsibilities include vein harvesting, assisting with CABG, valvular procedures, TAVR, and other emergent open-heart surgeries, adhering to unit policies and safety protocols
- Additional Qualifications: Must be competent and independent in vein procurement using the Maquet Hemopro 2 system. BLS and CST certifications are required.
