Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department position is based in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for patients experiencing both high and low risk antepartum and intrapartum conditions, including deliveries, cesarean sections, emergent discharges, post-delivery tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential, Washington state license (in hand or proof of application submitted at least 6 weeks prior), and at least 1 year of relevant experience with the specified case types.
- Schedule: Shift hours are 1900-0730 and 0700-1930, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting after vaginal deliveries, setting up delivery tables, helping stock rooms, and familiarity with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Float: No, float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The hospital has 388 total beds and is a level 3 trauma center with 12 labor and delivery beds, 3 operating rooms, and 2 obstetric emergency rooms. The facility handles approximately 150 to 175 deliveries per month. The scrub color is dark blue, provided by the hospital. The position involves working every other weekend and does not require on-call duties.
