Position Description:
The role involves supporting a Labor and Delivery unit with a focus on vaginal deliveries and high-risk obstetric cases. Candidates will work within a 29-bed unit featuring advanced equipment and electronic medical records systems, providing patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications:
Current acute care CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) experience of at least 6 months in Labor and Delivery, with certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support), NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting), and DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies). Must have a minimum of 0 years of experience, be team-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Schedule:
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information:
Candidates should demonstrate strong team skills and excellent communication with staff and providers. Experience with Meditech EMR and previous Labor and Delivery experience are preferred. The unit emphasizes patient experience, staff collaboration, and technological support for procedures like vaginal deliveries and high-risk OB cases.
