Job Summary
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Surgical Tech based in a healthcare facility. This position involves supporting surgical procedures within the Labor and Delivery department, with an emphasis on scrubbing in on C-Sections and assisting with various obstetric cases. The role requires a flexible schedule and availability for orientation sessions scheduled for early November 2026.
Job Details
- Position Description: Support surgical operations within the Labor and Delivery department, including assisting with C-Sections and other obstetric surgeries. The role requires flexibility to meet staffing needs, including working 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and availability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years surgical tech experience, prior travel experience, NBSTA certification (NCCT not accepted), BLS certification, and experience with Cerner EMR preferred. Must be able to scrub C-Sections.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor and delivery procedures, obstetric surgical support, and Cerner EMR familiarity.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Orientation dates are scheduled for 11/9, 11/16, and 11/30 with no orientations during the week of 11/23. Candidates should be available to work 2 of 3 holidays and must be flexible to meet staffing needs.
- Additional Information: Must be able to scrub in on C-Sections. No block schedule offered; flexibility required to meet unit staffing needs. No time off approved from 9/19 to 10/17 due to Epic Go Live.
