Job Summary:
A Certified Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technologist) position is available in Oregon City, Oregon. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures within a short-term acute care facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Oregon City, Oregon

  • Shift Hours: 10 hours per day

  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

  • Start Date: 07/20/2026

  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1 year of surgical technician experience, ability to work in Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in an Epic EMR environment and at a Providence facility or similar healthcare setting.

  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: The role involves supporting a variety of surgeries, including orthopedic procedures such as total joint replacements, spine, and trauma surgeries, as well as general and gynecological surgeries. Candidates should have experience with specific surgical procedures listed, including abdominal hysterectomy, orthopedic surgeries, and laparoscopic cases.

  • Schedule & Additional Details:

    • On-call requirement of 100 hours per 4-week schedule period, including holiday coverage for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
    • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby their contracted facility.
    • Must have a vehicle for this assignment.
    • No specific float rotations or block scheduling required.
  • Certifications & Skills:

    • BLS certification required.
    • Experience with procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, abdominoplasty, arthroscopy, colonoscopy, spinal fusion, total joint replacements, and more.
    • Must have at least 1 year of experience in surgical technology.
    • EMR experience with Epic preferred.
  • Additional Information:

    • Travelers’ refusal to float may result in termination of assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
    • Must have worked in a healthcare facility within the last three years, with two references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs).
    • Must submit responses regarding prior employment at Providence facilities.
    • Candidates are responsible for submitting monthly cell phone bills if required for the assignment.
    • The position requires willingness to work during specified holidays and to comply with RTO (Request for Time Off) limitations.
