Job Summary
A Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) is needed at a healthcare facility in Lewiston, ME. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within the operating room, ensuring aseptic techniques, and assisting the surgical team with various specialties including vascular,orthopedic, gynecological, and robotic-assisted surgeries. The position offers a dynamic environment with an emphasis on patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Certification as Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT), no minimum experience required.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, days, 40 hours per week. Shift runs from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries such as vascular, orthopedic, gynecological, urology, plastics, robotics, endoscopy, and other specialized procedures.
- Required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA and/or Certification Scrub Tech (NCCT).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics (Da Vinci XI and Mako), abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, and other advanced surgical procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional notes: Must have vascular experience; inpatient, outpatient, and community hospital settings experience preferred.
