Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) role is located at a healthcare facility where the selected technician will support various surgical specialties. This position involves working rotating shifts, including day and evening hours, with responsibilities that may include on-call duties during weekdays and weekends. The role requires experience in multiple surgical disciplines and familiarity with advanced robotic surgical devices.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts with various shifts (day/evening), including 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, or 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM. The position includes weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities, with no block scheduling.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in AHA BLS and active NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) or AST (Authorized Staff Technician) are required at the time of submission. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in operating room settings, with prior experience in specialties such as General Surgery, Gynecology, Plastics, Urology, Orthopedics (total joints, sports medicine), Podiatry, Vascular, and Endoscopy. Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is preferred. Valid driver’s licenses with matching address are required, along with documentation of recent travel experience (first-time travelers will not be considered). Current AHA BLS and seasonal flu vaccination are also required. RTO (Return to Office) preferences must be included at the time of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgical devices such as Da Vinci and Mako Robot, along with proficiency in scrub procedures using any color.
