Job Summary: Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) — Wichita, Kansas
An Occupational Therapist Inpatient position is available with the organization for a travel assignment supporting an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves providing evaluation and treatment with an emphasis on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), while maintaining required therapy time tracking for patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift with an 8-hour day; minimum 40 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active Kansas licensure; minimum 6 months current acute care Occupational Therapy (OT) experience. Knowledge of Electronic Stimulator and Therapy Management (ESTIM); familiarity with patient lifts; ability to support ADL equipment, gym equipment, and IADLs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting; Lymphedema certification; Neuro certification or experience.
- Responsibilities: Provide evaluation and treatment; deliver ADL and IADL interventions; serve as a hands-on clinician during patient treatments; track therapy time/charges to help ensure patients receive required therapy time in inpatient rehabilitation.
- Additional Information: Patient requires a 3-hour therapy requirement in inpatient rehabilitation, and the clinician is responsible for tracking of time/charges to ensure required time for each patient.
