Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in inpatient care is sought for a position at a Level III Trauma Center in Walla Walla, Washington. This role involves providing acute care and inpatient rehabilitation services within a small rural hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Walla Walla, Washington
- Position: Occupational Therapist (Inpatient)
- Shift: 8-hour days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

- Certifications and Education: Valid Washington (WA) license in hand, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in acute care settings preferred.
- Experience: 0 years minimum experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Experience with acute care, adult rehabilitation, edema massage, functional splints, kinesiotaping, orthoplast, and static splints.
- EMR System: Epic charting system experience preferred.
- Unit Details: Ability to evaluate and treat patients across multiple hospital units including ICU, Medical, Surgery, and Inpatient Rehab; familiarity with multi-trauma, TII, SCI, CVA, surgical, orthopedic, Parkinson’s, MS, and related diagnoses.
- Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work across all hospital units as needed, work as part of a team, and undertake extra patient care to meet productivity standards. The candidate should be friendly, outgoing, independent, hardworking, and proficient in time management.
- On-Call and Weekend Requirements: No on-call required; working one weekend every four weeks.
- Orientation: Specific orientation hours are not provided.
- Float: Float may be required between units such as acute care, medical, ICU, and inpatient rehab.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown.
