Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) in Inpatient Rehabilitation located in the San Leandro, California area. The position involves providing inpatient therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their California occupational therapist license on the first day. This role requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience and will be scheduled for days.

- Required Qualifications: Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license; Degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT, MSOT, or OTD); Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation; familiarity with common diagnoses such as respiratory failure, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s Disease, post exploratory laparotomy, and related treatments.
- Additional Information: Patient ratios are based on site average efficiency across units. The equipment used includes parallel bars, ReadyStand, Hoyer lifts, SciFit bike, and standard rehabilitation tools. The EMR system utilized is Net Health Optima. The direct supervisor is the Director of Rehabilitation. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. The dress code requires scrubs of any color, avoiding jeans and open-toed shoes, in accordance with hospital safety standards.
