Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) — located in a healthcare facility providing inpatient rehabilitation services. This role involves delivering skilled occupational therapy to adult and pediatric patients across various units, including intensive care units, trauma centers, stroke centers, and inpatient rehab programs. The position requires flexibility to cover multiple areas and participate in weekend and holiday rotations.
Job Details
- Position Description: The occupational therapist will perform ADL evaluations, document clinical findings to justify next levels of care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic inpatient setting.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; valid state license to practice occupational therapy; at least one year of clinical experience; location requirement met; and the ability to work a day shift with 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours weekly.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with rotations including weekends and holidays.
- Additional Information: Experience or skills needed include strong verbal and written communication, flexibility, teamwork skills, and knowledge of ADL evaluation and documentation. Clinicians must note if previously employed at the organization, with a minimum of six months since their last engagement. All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility.
