Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in Home Health (HH) is needed in West Allis, Wisconsin. This position involves providing home health therapy to adult patients with conditions such as post-stroke, post-joint replacement, COPD, CHF, and other deconditioning issues. The role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and work with interdisciplinary teams, including RNs and PTs, delivering evaluations and treatments primarily focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts from approximately 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Shift times are around 07:45-16:00, Monday through Friday; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, Wisconsin license, BLS certification, minimum of 3 years of OT experience in SNF, home health, or acute care settings (preferably in home health), active driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, and home health experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required within Racine County and Kenosha County, WI. Most patients are within 20-30 minutes, with occasional travel up to an hour away
- Additional Information: First day of orientation at Milwaukee office, involving EPIC training and preceptor-led orientation; no weekend rotation, on-call responsibilities, or holiday shifts; patient cases include an average of six points per day with evaluation visits lasting approximately 1.5 hours; team huddles occur daily via phone; scrubs are business casual or can be any color. Parking is available at patient homes.
