Job Summary:
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist position located in Los Alamitos, California. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves performing various nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET scans, while adhering to safety and operational protocols within a hospital or healthcare facility environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 1-hour meal break, requiring 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California State License in-hand when applying, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), PET (Positron Emission Tomography) certification, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Blue Card, and EPIC experience noted in work history.
  • Certifications: All required certs must be in-hand when applying.
  • Experience: No minimum years of experience explicitly required; however, preferred candidates have 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Additional Information:
    • Skill set includes adult, GE, PET scan, starting and maintaining intravenous lines, handling and disposal of radioactive materials, and performing whole body and skull to thigh FDG (fluorodeoxyglucose) procedures.
    • EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience with EPIC is required.
    • No Nursys or background hits accepted.
    • No RTO (Reasonable Time Off) within the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred.
    • RTO requests must be included in the submittal and cannot be changed once sent for review.
    • Modules are billable, averaging 4-8 hours, completed during orientation or at home post-start, and are self-reported.
    • The manager may or may not conduct an interview; candidates should be agreeable to this process.
    • Vaccinations—including COVID-19 with booster and flu vaccine—are required with no exemptions.
