Job Summary: Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2 (Nuclear Medicine) — Fresno, California
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2 serves as a Scientific Technologist (Chemistry), providing fully trained and self-reliant support for routine Nuclear Medicine Technology techniques. This role performs the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging and assists with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and using imaging devices to record the distribution within the body. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, M-F 08:00–16:30, 8 shift hours, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in a related field; at least 2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (BLS) — American Heart Association (AHA) (current); one primary certification: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) — Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — Nuclear Medicine Technology (N); State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) all scopes including venipuncture; license required to be brought on the first day
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; additional post-primary advanced certification preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) — Computed Tomography (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) — Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) — Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NCT)
  • Additional Information: Works closely with the Nuclear Medicine Physician while performing diagnostic imaging and specimen-related tasks; supports therapeutic and diagnostic procedures by preparing radiopharmaceuticals and administering them to patients; follows patient safety protocols and maintains all federal, state, local, and regulatory agency requirements; participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
