Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a healthcare facility setting. The position involves performing a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures. The technologist will support other imaging staff, facilitate smooth patient flow, troubleshoot equipment issues, participate in quality assurance activities, and ensure radiation safety protocols are followed. Flexibility to work other shifts or campuses as needed and on-call/weekend requirements are essential for this role.
Job Details
- Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 10 hours shift; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted equivalent; 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting; Basic computer experience; Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification from ARRT or NMTCB; State licensure (e.g., MRT by TMBB for Texas); BLS certification by AHA
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a heavy caseload environment; ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and follow PACS procedures
- Additional Information: The position involves heavy caseload management, ensuring exams are correctly scanned and stored, and maintaining radiation safety standards.
