Job Summary:
MRI Technologist specializing in magnetic resonance imaging at a healthcare facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining clinical competency across all exams and equipment. The position includes working nights with a schedule of 10-hour shifts, including weekends.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date. Two years of experience is required. Valid certifications include ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS. Valid BLS certification. Licenses and certifications must be current per state requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced environment, strong patient interaction skills, and familiarity with department protocols.
- Additional Information: The role involves proper patient identification, protocol adherence, contrast administration, documentation, and ensuring exams are properly coded and archived. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, team collaboration, and adherence to safety standards in magnetic resonance imaging.
