Job Summary:
A Medical Technologist position is available in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves working in a busy hospital laboratory with a focus on hematology, utilizing Sysmex and CellaVision systems. The successful candidate will perform differential analyses accurately and manage complex samples such as turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, requiring every other weekend rotation, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with variation possible; a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Technologist, relevant education with a degree in medical laboratory science or related field, 3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory environment with CORE Lab experience, particularly in Hematology, and familiarity with Sysmex and CellaVision systems
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) and previous handling of complex hematology samples
- Additional Information: The role involves handling a variety of complex samples daily, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cells. Candidates should have substantial experience managing these responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to transition quickly without extensive training delays.
