Job Summary:
The organization seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) in Troy, Missouri. This role involves performing analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques, with a focus on blood bank work. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. Job Details:
- Certifications and Education Requirements: MLS (American Society for Clinical Pathology) (required), BLS certification, Bachelor of Science degree, and Missouri state license valid through 08/2026.
- Schedule: 8-hour variable shifts, normally from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with flexibility to cover night shifts when needed. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36, with no weekend requirements.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), minimum two years relevant experience, proficiency with Epic EMR, blood bank experience in a manual blood bank setting, ability to work independently, and valid Missouri license.
- Additional Information: Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, unless exempted and approved by the client. Candidates must be reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working with Vitros dry chemistry systems (5600 and 350) and supporting various laboratory departments.
