Job Summary:
Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) position located in Brownsville, Texas. This role involves working in a busy hospital laboratory setting, performing a variety of clinical laboratory procedures. The position is scheduled for night shifts, providing critical support to patient care through accurate and efficient laboratory testing.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications such as ASCP MLT or MLS, AMT MLT or MLS, with a minimum of 0 years of experience; must have Blood Bank history.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with generalist skills and adaptable personalities, team players, with experience working with Sysmex, Siemens, Iris, Vision, Genexpert, Sofia, Abbot, or Werfen equipment.
- Additional Information: The role supports a laboratory unit with 214 beds, 34 staff members, and typical procedures performed include a variety of generalist laboratory tests. Candidates must be adaptable to change and team-oriented. Weekend and on-call rotations are required on an alternating basis.
