Job Summary:
The position is for a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) at an unspecified location. The role involves working in a high-volume hospital laboratory environment, performing complex laboratory testing including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, and microbiology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Atlanta, Georgia
  • Shift: Evenings (Schedule nights 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, requires every other weekend rotation)
  • Schedule: 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification: ASCP, AMT, or AAB; Education: Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist; Experience: 2 years within the specialty, with experience using Cerner, Sysmex, and CellaVision systems; Additional skills include managing complex samples such as turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings. Candidates must have worked in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) and be familiar with equipment like Siemens, Iris, Beckman Vitros, and EMR systems including Orchard, Cerner, Epic, Meditech, Mosaic. Candidates should have experience with PCR, Vidas, Osmometer, RPR, Gel method, and possibly Phlebotomy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level facilities, neonatal units, or extensive laboratory workload preferred.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in the specialty, be familiar with handling complex samples, and have prior experience with large hospital laboratories. They should be prepared to perform differential counts accurately and manage challenging specimen types daily.
