Job Summary:
The mammographer position is located in the imaging department, focusing on screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The role involves operating advanced mammography equipment, including upright stereotactic and prone table biopsy systems, within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have prior experience in diagnostic breast imaging and be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day shifts with hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Alternate scheduling options include weekday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm shifts, both requiring Fridays with rotating Saturdays from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Required Qualifications: Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, mammography certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). Candidates should have 3-5 years of diagnostic breast imaging experience at an imaging center, including experience with upright stereotactic biopsy and prone table biopsy techniques. At least one year of experience using the McKesson PACS image archive storage system and EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Breast screening and diagnostic mammography experience, proficiency with advanced biopsy procedures, and familiarity with Hologic Dimension systems and Affirm system.
- Experience: 2 years of clinical mammography experience.
- Additional Information: This position is open only to candidates who have been separated from the health care provider they previously worked for at least six months and are not local candidates. No information about pay or billing is included.
