Interventional Radiology Specialty (Intra CL) in Marshfield, Wisconsin
An Interventional Radiology (IR) / Vascular Technologist position is available for the healthcare provider’s IR / Vascular unit. Responsibilities include preparing procedure suites, ensuring radiation safety setup, supporting physicians during procedures, and assisting with troubleshooting and calibration of fluoroscopy and hemodynamics monitoring equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: 4 ten-hour days per week plus call, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; rotating day off. Weeknight and weekend call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends (Friday–Monday). Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years IR experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); License to Submit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Float: Hybrid for vascular cases.
- Additional Information: Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup; calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamics monitoring; pull supplies; set up sterile table; scrub in and assist physicians with procedures including device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment, manage radiation dose and imaging angles, and complete clean/restock/room turnover with sheath removals. Unit orientation typically includes 2–3 full days of training/shadowing and buddy call, with call beginning in the second week; no call the first week. Call response time is 30 minutes. May be asked to go into holiday call.
