Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical (IR CL) Technologist position available in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting interventional radiology procedures within a busy hospital setting, including neurointerventional and vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in interventional radiology, particularly in neurointerventional procedures, and will work day shifts on a schedule of 10-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiology, including scrub and circulate functions, with specific experience in neurointerventional radiology. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Vascular Operating Room experience, Catheterization Laboratory experience, and verified vascular interventional (VI) registered status are highly preferred.
  • Unit Information: The IR unit includes 2 single-plane (GE) and 2 biplane (Philips) rooms with a staff of 15 technologists, a manager, a Data/Quality Analyst, and nursing support. The team handles a variety of procedures such as dialysis work, arteriograms, embolizations, Y-90 treatments, G-tubes, TIPS, cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, and mechanical thrombectomies. The department is equipped with a single-plane GE system, biplane Philips system, and an Invasive CT scanner, utilizing Cerner (Radnet) electronic medical records.
  • Additional Information: Flexibility and strong team collaboration are essential. Candidates should adhere to hospital-provided scrub attire and unit policies. Day shift coverage with every 7th weekend and one night secondary call during the week.
