Job Summary:
Electrophysiology (EP) Technician specializing in electrophysiology procedures, located in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves supporting the electrophysiology lab, assisting with ablations, device implants, and other EP procedures. The position is ideal for individuals with previous cath lab or electrophysiology experience seeking a temporary assignment in a fast-paced EP environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Radiologic Technologies, Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) with 0 years minimum experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Independent ability to scrub, monitor, and circulate during electrophysiology procedures; prior cath lab or EP lab experience; adaptability to fast-paced units; previous travel experience preferred
- Additional Information: The position requires proficiency with equipment such as Carto, Cardiolab, Medtronic, Abbott, and Boston Scientific. The unit maintains a patient ratio of approximately 1 patient per EP suite, with a team composed of technicians and registered nurses. Scrubs are provided daily via the facility’s Scrubex machine.
