Job Summary
Pediatric Ultrasonographer specializing in cardiac imaging is needed at a large academic medical center located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. This 6-week assignment offers an 8-hour daytime schedule with responsibilities including advanced pediatric cardiac sonography, performing complex measurements, and completing comprehensive reports. The role includes opportunities for potential coverage across multiple system-of-care locations and may involve weekend shifts and weeknight on-call.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour days, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM start times if on call, with weekly hours totaling 40 hours.
- Required Qualifications: Completion of a cardiac sonographer program, ARDMS PE or CCI RCCS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer, recent experience in a large pediatric academic medical center, proficiency in scanning complex congenital heart disease and surgically repaired defects, experience with GE and Philips ultrasound machines, reliable vehicle for travel between system-of-care locations, and experience completing full measurements and writing comprehensive reports.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Syngo Dynamics reporting system.
- Additional Information: The assignment includes a weeknight on-call rotation from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, optional 4x10-hour workweeks during approved times, and may require working weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves potential floating to other care locations within a thirty-five (35) mile radius of the primary site, based on clinical competence and scheduling needs.
