Job Summary
Dietitian (DIET) — Location: Not specified. This position involves providing clinical inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy (MNT), including nutrition education, assessment, and treatment to patients across all age groups. The role also includes delivering Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) and ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
Job Details
- Position Description: Registered Dietitian needed to deliver medical nutrition therapy, education, assessment, and treatment to inpatient and outpatient populations. Responsibilities include interpreting data for nutrition assessments, educating patients, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Certifications & Education: RD (Registered Dietitian) certification required. Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field, or equivalent experience/education accepted in lieu.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent relevant experience in nutrition therapy.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Clinical and Operational Responsibilities: Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, perform clerical tasks such as updating electronic health records, keep a clean and safe work environment, and complete mandated continuing education requirements.
- Travel Experience: Required.
- Certifications: Must possess BLS certification and RD/RDN certification.
- Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of various nutritional principles, procedures, and medical conditions; ability to perform routine nutritional therapy; strong communication skills; knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records; ability to prioritize and work independently or as part of a team.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have their Nursys license uploaded within the last two weeks, provide applicable certifications with valid expiration dates, and submit two references obtained within the last year.
