Job Summary:
Dietitian, Long Term Care, en_US — This position requires a registered dietitian to provide clinical nutrition services within a long-term care setting, with additional coverage responsibilities at a medical center. The role focuses on delivering nutritional care to residents and patients, supporting foodservice staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position involves day shifts with the potential to support hospital areas as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour days, 40 hours per week. Shifts may be from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registration as a dietitian, Master’s Degree (preferred), at least 1 year of experience, location in en_US, and a commitment of 6 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to provide coverage at the medical center during vacation periods.
- Additional Information: The primary function is to provide clinical nutrition services to residents of the nursing home and assisted living program, as well as to patients in hospital, cardiac rehabilitation, cancer center, outpatient, and other areas of the medical center as needed. Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Support and Professional Services, the Clinical Dietitian oversees the nutritional care of residents and patients, maintains compliance with regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and acts as a liaison between healthcare providers, nurses, and foodservice staff. The position involves a six-month commitment, with potential for permanent employment.
