Job Summary:
The location is in Salinas, California. This position is for a CT Technologist performing radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures such as chest, extremities, spines, catheter placements, etc.
- Cares for patients during procedures by assisting them to rest rooms, giving blankets, etc. Prepares patients for exams.
- Reports changes in the patient's condition to others for follow-up.
- Transports patients by stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or walking. Provides care during transportation and in the department if necessary.
- Assists patients by lifting and moving them off and on the x-ray tables. Provides bedpans and urinals as needed. Ensures patients are properly dressed for procedures.
- Performs related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting others, and special assignments. Cleans work area and replenishes supplies.
- Assists with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
- Assists with scheduling of patient exams.
- Attends regularly scheduled department meetings and in-services.
- May give contrast medias and flush lines with normal saline contrast/normal saline.
- Under direct supervision of the Radiologist, may pull Lidocaine/buffered Lidocane for procedures.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed technologist is required.
- Epic experience of at least six (6) to twelve (12) months within the past year is required.
- Required Certifications and Licenses: CRT certificate, Fluoroscopy license, ARRT registration or ARRT eligible, current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards, valid Driver’s License.
- Education: Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the AMA.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Location: 450 E Romie Lane, Salinas, California.
- Must bring license on the first day.
